Craft in Scotland

On this website there are a huge variety of images which create a visual introduction to the different disciplines within craft and collectively define Scottish craft.

The craftscotland website showcases contemporary work by skilled makers from all over Scotland, some of whom are at the very beginning of their careers and others who are internationally recognised as being at the top of their profession.

At the heart of the site is a searchable directory, which gives every maker and craft outlet their own free web page to promote their business. To search for makers, visit Makers Search. To find craft galleries and retailers in a specific area, use the Venue Search. You can also search using a map of Scotland. Find out how to join the directory. You can also read our guide on how to buy craft and our advice on commissioning.

craftfocus - our online exhibition space, shows new world-class work by designer makers based in Scotland.

View our entry to the Big Film Picture Competition, an exclusive film created from film supplied by the crafts community in Scotland.

There are a large number of organisations that represent and support the Scottish crafts community. Visit Craft Organisations for a listing.
