Two Day Masterclass: Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 July

Mary Butcher, renowned UK basketry specialist and curator of “East Weaves West”, will conduct a workshop suitable for makers with various levels of experience with willow.

The class will entail a series of exercises designed to both extend participants’ basketmaking skills and encourage experimentation towards more conceptual, sculptural forms.

The production of new, exuberant and unusual pieces is intended to instil new levels of confidence and creativity which will enhance participants’ future practice.

The fee @ £150.00/£120.00 (concessionary rate) per head includes: materials (English brown willow and Somerset buff), lunches, refreshments throughout, tutor’s fee.
