In association with the Scottish Basketmakers Circle internationally renowned artist Patrick Dougherty has created a new sculpture in the grounds of the Brahan Estate near Dingwall in the Highlands of Scotland. This will be 'in residence' until May 2007 when it will be de-constructed as part of the 2007 Highland Year of Culture. Visitors are welcome onto the estate to see the sculpture.
Directions
1 Take the A9 road from Inverness via the Kessock Bridge for 7 miles to Tore roundabout. 2 From roundabout take the A835 (signposted Ullapool) for 5.5 miles to the Maryburgh roundabout. 3 Continue on the A835 Ullapool road for two miles and take a left turn through a stone gateway to the Brahan Estate. The event is signposted. 4 Half a mile down the estate road, at the crossroads, turn right into an oak lined avenue signposted The Caravan Club Certified Location. 5 Please park cars at the end of this driveway. 6 The sculpture site is a short walk from end of driveway.
