A mixed exhibition showing a wide range of ring designs is currently open at the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh.

The rings, by UK and international jewellers, have been created using both traditional and non traditional materials.  There are creations in gold, glass, acrylic and felt.  The jewellers exhibiting include Wendy Ramshaw, Susan May, Karin Wagner, Marlene McKibbon, Mark Nuell and Joanne Thompson.

Joanne Thompson graduated from Edinburgh College of Art before completing an MA at the Royal College of Art.  She uses silver and oxidised silver to create three dimensional, flexible, tactile and durable pieces. 

The exhibition is on at the Scottish Gallery, 16 Dundas Street, Edinburgh EH3 6HZ from 4 April to 4 May 2005.  Opening hours Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
