Emerging Designers at Velvet Boutique Fair
22 April 2005

The Velvet Boutique Spring/Summer Design Fair takes place in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge on Sunday 24 April selling a range of jewellery, fashion accessories and designs for the home from emerging Scottish designers.

The designers who will be selling their work at the fair include Lisa McGarry of Carnachan, who designs classic tailored garments, Clare Nicholson, who uses paper collages to create interior textiles, Leigh Mulrine whose range of jewellery combines mixed media with traditional techniques and Edinburgh based designer Malcolm Cruickshank who has developed a lighting product which introduces light to felt.

Textile and fashion designer Jeda Lewis, who is organising the event, and who will be selling her range of childrenswear, said “The fair not only promotes and celebrates designers and their work but gives the public direct access to the fantastic creative people who are living and working in Scotland.”

Velvet Boutique is taking place at the Dance for All Studios, St Stephen Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh on Sunday 24 April from 11am until 6pm.  Entry is £2 and includes wine and canapés.
