A reception to mark the first year of craftscotland and to give everyone the opportunity to hear about plans for the future is being held on Tuesday 27 September at the Birnam Institute by Dunkeld.
Taking place the day before the Living Traditions conference, the reception is open to anyone working in crafts in Scotland, who would like to find out more about craftscotland and enjoy the chance to meet up with colleagues.
There will also be a display of work by some of the makers who have been featured on the site over the first year and the specially commissioned pieces which recreate the craftscotland logo in wood, willow, stone, silver and textiles.
The reception – craftscotland: The First Year - begins at 3pm and finishes at 7pm and includes drinks and a hot dinner buffet. The deadline for booking was 20 September 2005.
The first Annual General Meeting of craftscotland will take place during the reception, and makers, retailers and galleries registered on the craftscotland directory (as of 18 July) will be able to vote at this.
