Flower Power is the theme of the summer exhibition which has opened at the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh.
A variety of makers have interpreted this classic theme including ceramicist Craig Mitchell, jewellers Geoff Roberts, Grainne Morton, Marianne Anderson, Beth Legg and Anna Gordon, textile artist Deirdre Nelson, and silversmiths Michael Lloyd and Grant McCaig.
Another textile artist exhibiting is Jane Keith who has studios in Dundee and Fife. A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art she designs high quality silk ties inspired by the Western Isles of Scotland. Her clients include newsreader Jon Snow, comedian Lenny Henry and actor Matthew Perry.
There is also work by several other makers including glass artist Bob Crooks and Michael Brennand-Wood.
The exhibition is on from 1 to 30 July 2005 at the Scottish Gallery, 16 Dundas Street, Edinburgh EH3 6HZ. Opening hours Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
