Scottish Silversmiths at Goldsmiths' Fair
04 October 2005

Goldsmiths’ Fair 2005, taking place in London from 3 to 9 October, includes some of Scotland’s leading silversmiths.

The selling exhibition of contemporary jewellery and silverware by 90 of Britain’s most exciting designer-makers includes Scottish makers Graham Stewart, Shimara Carlow, Sarah Hutchison, Andrew Lamb, Craig Stuart, Adrian Hope, Eric Smith, Gerry Summers and Eileen Gatt.

Now in its 23rd consecutive year, the Fair takes place in the gilded interior of Goldsmiths’ Hall in the City of London.  Of the exhibitors, 56 are jewellers and 34 are silversmiths, although several translate their silversmithing skills into jewellery and vice versa.

Five recent graduates are making their debut, including Edinburgh College of Art graduate Sarah Hutchinson, who has been given a free-stand and a £1,000 bursary by the Goldsmiths Company.

Also exhibiting is Lucian Taylor who has just completed a three month residency at Cove Park.

Goldsmiths' Fair 2005 takes place from 3 to 9 October 2005 in Goldsmiths' Hall, Foster Lane, London EC2V 6BN.  Opening hours Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm. Admission at £6 by catalogue.
