Fashion designers Francesca Pollock and Morven Shearlaw of Never the Same Twice launch their new Joan Barron Collection this weekend.
The collection, featuring dresses, blouses, jackets and suits, was created from vintage fabrics dating from the fifties.
The fabrics had been owned by Joan Barron who enjoyed collecting dressmaking materials, and when she had to go into care her family invited the designers to clear her attic. Francesca and Morven were overwhelmed by this fantastic opportunity and left with over fifty bags of fabrics which were still in perfect condition including silks, tweeds and linens.
They have used these fabrics to create the Joan Barron collection which can be seen on Friday 24 November between 6 and 9pm and Saturday 25 November from 10am until 6pm at the Caledonian Art House, 752-756 Argyle Street, Glasgow (near the Buttery).
Prices range from £50 to £250. See more of the collection on their website and at photographs of the show.
After the fashion show the collection will be available at the shop re-cycle and wear in Glasgow.
