There are only a few days left to see the annual New Faces 2007 exhibition of paintings, ceramics and jewellery by 2006 graduates taking place at the Leith Gallery in Edinburgh.
This year the exhibition includes glass by Edinburgh College of Art graduates Phillipa Headley and Heather Gillespie along with jewellery by Linsay Walker and Katie Pica who both trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art.
Inspired by her research into face casting techniques Katie has created a series of elaborate masks in copper and silver which she is showing alongside a range of silver jewellery.
Linsay likes to take an image of an everyday item and incorporate it in her design to create a new surface pattern, such as a measuring tape which becomes something of beauty rather than function.
The exhibition is on at the Leith Gallery, 65 The Shore, Edinburgh EH6 6RA from 17 Feb to 3 March 2007.
