Scottish jewellers, glass artists and textile designers will be showing their work in the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate during April 2008.
There will be over 500 stands at the fair with exhibitors including established makers and newcomers who have been selected for their quality, originality and variety of products.
This year the Scottish exhibitors include jewellers Alison Macleod, Julie Allison, Carla Edwards, Clare Hillerby, Hannah Louise Lamb, Natalie Vardey, Shimara Carlow, Shona Carnegie and Lucklaw Silver. Based in St Andrews, Lucklaw Silver, is designed by S A Macfarlane (Sam), whose interests in nature and landscape are juxtaposed with a fascination for the geometry often found in modern art and architecture.
Textile artists include James Donald of Pick One, Lynsey Walters and Fiona McIntosh of Tessuti while Scottish glass design is represented by Ingrid Phillips of iglass. In addition, the Edinburgh design group designEd will have a group stand.
