Fantasy and Fashion at Hatwalk
30 April 2008

Hatwalk in Wonderland, featuring hats in every shape, size and form, will take place in Edinburgh in 6 and 7 June 2008.

The event, held in partnership with Edinburgh’s Telford College, showcases work by ten professional milliners - Margaret Burgess, Felicity Faichney, Sara Gadd, Fiona Graham, Ewa Kuniczak, Eloise Moody, Joyce Paton, Fawns Reid, Jane Smith and Clare Workman.

The hats, which also include designs by students from the college, will range from the daring to the domestic, while the stage sets are designed by school children.  The event was created from an idea by Felicity Faichney and Fenella Kerr, and Zandra Rhodes, Philip Treacy and Jane Smith are all patrons.  Also raising money for charity, the funds this year go to the Teenage Cancer Trust, ‘Remember Zoe’ appeal.

Hatwalk takes place on Friday 6 June and Saturday 7 June 2008 at St Stephens in Edinburgh.   Tickets available online from www.hatwalk.co.uk or for further information call 0750 887 3563.

They are also holding a summer school in August 2008 at Edinburgh’s Telford College where there is a choice of five classes for beginners through to experienced milliners.  Further details on their website.
