| 07 June 2009 Two Scottish ceramicists, Dawn Youll and Frances Priest, have been shortlisted for the inaugural BCB Awards, celebrating energy and innovation in contemporary British ceramics, being presented at the British Ceramics Biennial 2009. The BCB Awards Exhibition opens at Stoke-on-Trent’s Potteries Museum and Art Gallery on 3 October 2009 and will feature work by the 27 shortlisted artists and industries, and is set to form the centrepiece of the ten-week Biennial, a major new project for Stoke-on-Trent celebrating the finest in contemporary ceramics. The BCB Awards recognise creativity and achievement across the breadth of ceramics design and practice, and the exhibition will display some of the most exciting talent working in ceramics today.
