Elin Isaksson

Elin Isaksson works with three different glassmaking techniques – glassblowing, hot casting, and kiln casting. These enable her to achieve particular designs and qualities of glass, such as sculptural and organic forms.

As a supporter and promoter of handmade glass and traditional glassmaking techniques, Elin received a Scottish Arts Council Start Up Grant in 2009 to set up her own glass blowing studio in Alloa. This studio will give glass makers, students and visitors the chance to learn about glass and observe glassmaking in action.

With Meet Your Maker, Elin brought her passion for the ancient art of glassmaking to the public.
