These grants are operated by a number of local authorities and development agencies, in partnership with the SAC. “We aim to improve the ambition and distribution of crafts exhibitions shown, initiated and circulated in Scotland. The fund is primarily for exhibitions of contemporary work, including the indigenous crafts of Scotland. Those with an historical aspect may also be considered. As one of the aims is to improve understanding of contemporary crafts in Scotland, related education/outreach activities are an essential part of any proposal.”
