Residency opportunities at the Glasgow Ceramics Studio
Venue: Glasgow Ceramics Studio, Wasps Artists Studios, 77 Hanson Street, G31 2RF
The Glasgow Ceramics Studio is an artists' cooperative located within easy transport links of Glasgow's city center and Edinburgh. We have a range of excellent facilities for ceramic artists, including gas and electric kilns, glaze room, drying room, plaster area, several wheels and a large project space also available for classes and workshops.
We would like to offer a dedicated short term let space to a visiting professional artist for a maximum of 3 months. The cost of the space is £45 per fortnight. It includes a work bench and storage with access to all equipment and kilns at members' prices.
The space would be perfect for someone who is working towards an exhibition and would like to have access to spacious and extensive facilities or would simply like a change of scene and inspiration. Our professional members are available to offer technical help and support to anyone from another field wishing to complete a specific ceramic project.
The newly refurbished Wasps building within which we are located also houses a number of short term let flats which are available to visiting artists at reasonable prices.
Applications are taken all year round and open to all professional practicing artists. For more information please visit our website, glasgowceramicstudio.com or call the studio on +44 (0)141 550 8030. (posted 06/05/10)
