Craft Scotland is seeking a Business Manager for a fixed term contract of a minimum seven months period.

The position will manage three members of staff plus freelance support, oversee the on-going work of Craft Scotland and lead on new projects whilst our Chief Executive, Emma Walker, takes maternity leave.

This is a senior position which reports to the Board. The successful candidate will have experience of line management, project management, working with public funders and will be skilled at providing written and verbal reports at a strategic level.

Craft Scotland is the national audience development agency for Scottish craft. A sound understanding of the balance between audience development and retail within an arts context is crucial. Experience at senior management level in a small arts organisation is desirable.

As Business Manager you will have exceptional communication and organisational skills and will be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of working in a small arts organisation.

This role carries legal, financial and hr responsibilities. The post holder will also be responsible for overseeing all press and (offline) marketing related activity, along with other duties currently performed by our Chief Executive.
