Craft Scotland is recruiting a part time Online Assistant for a fixed term contract of twelve months.
You will work with the Online Marketing Manager to help maintain the Craft Scotland site. On a day to day basis you will update three key areas of the Craft Scotland website – the What’s On section, Find Craft profiles and Community Opportunities. The role will also include administration of an online shop (to be launched 2013) and support to update areas of Craft Scotland’s online service as needed. The role focuses on administrative and content creation responsibilities and will include research, copy writing, copy editing, image editing, and publishing content online. You will help Craft Scotland users with profile and website enquiries, assist with general enquiries about Craft Scotland, and liaise with craft makers, organisations and galleries. This role requires daily use of Microsoft Office programmes, an advanced CMS system, and photo editing software. Full training will be provided on the CMS system. You will be a confident writer with an interest in writing for the web. Experience of CMS systems or blogging platforms (such as Blogger, Wordpress etc) is desired. Effective organisational and time management skills are crucial. This is a part time position of 21 hours per week, £9,600 per annum (£16,000 per annum pro rata). This opportunity has now closed. Deadline for applications was Friday 23 November 2012 at 5pm. Interviews will take place w/c 10 December 2012. Update 16/11/12: Please note that as this role incorporates administrative support, the hours of work are required to fall within the Monday to Friday working week, and the position will be based in our Edinburgh office.
