Craft Scotland at COLLECT 2011 - Bursary Makers

Following feedback we received after COLLECT 2010, in 2011 we created six development bursaries for makers who wanted to develop their work with a view to showing at COLLECT with Craft Scotland in the future. 

We shaped a development package which gives makers access to our team’s expertise and negotiation skills, as well as knowledge and advice from our contacts in the sector. 

Travel and accommodation expenses for the bursaries were supported through COLLECT funding awarded to Craft Scotland by Creative Scotland.

The six people to be awarded a development bursary were:

Bursaries also includes:

  • Travel to and from London
  • 1 night’s accommodation in London
  • Entrance to COLLECT at the Saatchi Gallery, London
  • Access to collectors within their respective disciplines
  • Entrance to Craft Scotland’s networking event  in London
  • Half day session with Emma Walker on networking
  • Support from the other makers involved in the bursaries, and the makers represented by Craft Scotland on the stand at COLLECT 2011
  • Support from Craft Scotland during the event
  • Tailored 1:1 coaching & development support before and after the event
