Alison Macleod is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art.  Her work reflects empathy towards objects that appear to have been cast aside.  She mixes precious metals and gems with objects of sentimental value such as the bra bits used to manufacture lingerie in the Fifties. Actress Sienna Miller owns a pair of her earrings.

In 2005 she was invited to exhibit in 'Edinburgh Comes to Clerkenwell' at the Lesley Craze Gallery in London.  She exhibited in New York International Gift Fair in 2006 and was artist in residence in a school in Ayrshire as part of Elements of Change.

She was selected for Chelsea Crafts Fair in 2005 and for Origin: the London Craft Fair in 2006.
