Structure of the Land

I like to see countryside wherever I go, to see what the structure of the land is like.

From the age of three Anna lived in Inverness and she loved the landscape up there and going on walks and cycle runs with her parents.  She now lives in Edinburgh, but she says “I like to see countryside wherever I go, to see what the structure of the land is like.”

When she graduated she was awarded a travelling scholarship and visited Italy, France and Switzerland looking at historical textiles.   She started to travel a lot more from 1984 when she visited San Francisco, Los Angeles, Nevada and Arizona for the first time.  “It filled me up, an amazing trip” she says.  She was also fascinated in the archealogical work in Egypt and was influenced by pyramid shaped things.

In recent years she has travelled to Australia, Japan and India, where she has both shared skills and learned new ones.
