Lorraine Linton & Niki Taylor

They have created a series of three aprons for the Velvet Boutique exhibition Inside Out which are simply great fun.

Fashion designer Niki Taylor of Olanic in Glasgow and Lorraine Linton of INTO knitted textiles in Edinburgh were inspired by the concept of expressing hidden emotions.  Using the idea of housework they created a group of aprons, garments which protect and cover, and through structure and colour used them to express the concealed emotions of happiness, sadness and jealousy.
