Craft Scotland invite makers based in Scotland, or Scottish makers based in London, to apply to participate in a Meet Your Maker event in the Fleming Collection.

Meet Your Maker is a unique campaign from Craft Scotland which aims to directly connect craft makers to the public.

This is an opportunity to discuss your work and process with the public in a prestigious London Gallery (perhaps accompanied by demonstrations, sketchbooks or works in progress) during Summer 2012.

About Made in Scotland
Made in Scotland takes place in London from 17 April to 2 June 2012 at the Fleming Collection. The exhibition is supported by Craft Scotland, whose Chief Executive Emma Walker attended the Gala Opening of the exhibition on 16 April 2012.

Emma Walker said: "The Gala opening of Made in Scotland marks the beginning of a new partnership between Craft Scotland and The Fleming Collection. We are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious showcase of Scottish craft. Over the coming months we will be offering opportunities for makers living in Scotland and Scottish makers currently working in London to promote their work to a London audience."

Made in Scotland features work by a range of established Scottish makers, including: Dorothy Hogg MBE, Frances Priest, Simon Ward, Craig Mitchell, Lindean Mill Glass, James Denison-Pender, Amanda Gizzi , Susan Cross, Jo Barker, Sara Brennan, Stephen Bottomley, Angela Cork, Katy Hackney, Adrian Hope, Alison Kinnaird, Grant McCaig, Roger Millar, Grainne Morton, Keiko Mukaide, Allan Pollok-Morris, Hugo Rittson Thomas and Andrea Walsh. The curation of the exhibition was assisted by Christina Jansen, Director of The Scottish Gallery.

About Meet Your Maker
Meet Your Maker gives the public the chance to find out more about craft and makers by learning about their work and how they make their craft directly from the makers. The first phase of Meet Your Maker was an exhibition of nine contemporary craft makers at the National Museum of Scotland from 29 January to 14 March 2010. From 21 May to 28 June 2010, we then took Meet Your Maker to Timespan in Helmsdale, where we showed five contemporary craft makers working across disciplines.
