Developing a Manifesto for Craft in Scotland

The Craft Curators Network has invited Panel to build upon the outcomes of the Craft Curators Network Craft World Café, facilitated by Roanne Dods, which took place in April 2016. Panel is looking for your input to drive this forward.

The World Café, a simple, flexible format for hosting a large group discussion, welcomed over 65 people from across Scotland’s craft sector in order to instigate meaningful, transformative conversations and to co-create a vision for craft in Scotland over the next 10 years. A film capturing moments from the day can be found on the Craft Scotland website

Working with outcomes from the day, Panel has proposed the development of a 'Manifesto for Craft in Scotland' - a declaration of intentions, motives and views, working through Roanne’s inspiring and rigorous vision and the significant information gathered on the day. In order to develop the Manifesto, Panel would like to engage with more people from Scotland’s craft community so that they can widen the scope and network of ideas and responses.

This survey should take around 10 minutes to complete and the information that you supply will form part of a final report, which Panel will submit to the Craft Curators Network together with the Manifesto aims.

Please complete the survey by Wednesday 28 June 2017.

If completing a survey is not for you, please do contact Panel at and you can discuss the proposal in another way.

The final report will be available to download from the Panel and Craft Scotland websites from 31 July 2017.
