The themes of this third international, interdisciplinary conference focusing broadly on knitting will include adornment, discovery and exploration, representation in all types of media, and sport and well-being from voices across the world.

In the Loop 3: the Voices of Knitting will be held at the Discovery Centre in Winchester from Wednesday 5 – Friday 7 September 2012.

The Discovery Centre is located very close to Winchester city centre and as part of the conference there will be a week of knitting events including practical workshops. These will be led by experts in the field and will be separate from the conference bookable through the Discovery Centre, further details to be confirmed at a later date.

During the conference the Knitting Reference Library based at the University’s Winchester campus will be open for delegates with open access to the books and a collection service for the patterns, journals and magazines. Again further details will be made available at a later date.
