Craft Scotland has partnered with Young Scot to provide experiential rewards for young people in Scotland.
The Young Scot programme has 400,000 members aged 12-26 from across Scotland. Its new Rewards Programme is about rewarding young people who have done positive things for themselves or others in their community. For example they may have taken up swimming, lead a Youth Club or be a primary carer for a relative. For all these positive activities and many more the Young Scot members receive a number of points, which become rewards. Young Scot are interested in developing rewards which have more lasting value. Both Craft Scotland and Young Scot felt craft makers in Scotland were ideally placed to provide such positive rewards for young people in Scotland. For young people it might be their first opportunity to discover the rich craft Scotland has to offer. There are two ways in which craft makers can be involved:
There is no cost to becoming a discount or rewards partner, only the actual rewards or discounts you give. It’s up to you how many rewards you choose to give out as a partner. By becoming a giver of Young Scot discounts or rewards, makers will raise the profile of their craft amongst young people, it will also help to identify you as a socially responsible organisation and support young people entering into and finding out more about craft. Benefits to joining the reward and/or discount scheme include: free listing on the youngscot.org portal, databases and books and point of sale material which informs Young Scot and European Youth Card cardholders of discount. Craft Scotland will have a presence on the The Young Scot website (10million page views a year) linking through to our own website and a Young Scot featured area. Please download an application form and email it to submissions@craftscotland.org with YOUNG SCOT OPPORTUNITY clearly stated in the title. All submissions will be sent to Young Scot for consideration. Deadlines for applications to be included on the scheme are every three months starting from April 2012. The first deadline for applications is 30 June 2012. There will be further deadlines throughout 2012 as follows:
Further information about becoming a reward or discount partner can be found on the Young Scot website or you candownload a rewards information pack. You can find out more about the Young Scot scheme on the Young Scot website. Categories |
