Meet Angus Ross, a Scottish maker of furniture and public art, based in Aberfeldy.
Angus is one of six craft makers whose work will be showcased by Craft Scotland at SOFA Chicago 2012.
Craft Scotland interviewed Angus in summer 2012, and learned more about his inspirations and process, including the ancient technique of steam bending. He also showed us around his woodland, the source of material for some of his designs.
We invite you to watch our film of Angus Ross in his studio and woodland below, or watch Angus Ross - Meet the Maker in HD on YouTube.
If you plan to attend SOFA Chicago 2012, why not meet Angus in person?
Craft Scotland will host a Booth Talk with Angus Ross on the opening day of the show. Angus’ talk will provide an insight into his work and explore the art of steam-bending Scottish Oak. Join us for Angus Ross: ‘Heat, Wood and Water’ on Friday, November 2 at 3:30 pm.
