Stained Glass Supplies is a new business combining the experiences of glass, knowledge and making of Peter Verrecchia and Steve Richard. 

There is a need for the combination of sales with knowledge of the products, and experience in making.  This trio of elements is what Stained Glass Supplies aims to do for the decorative glass community. 

Both Peter and Steve have extensive experience with glass.

Peter has been involved with the glass industry since his beginning with the framing industry and then his long involvement with Pearsons Glass.  He has developed extensive relationships among glass people and suppliers during this period.  He has shown himself to be helpful and capable in finding the right glass and sources of materials.

Steve has been engaged full time in glass since leaving the academic world in 1996.  He became involved in experimentation with fusing glass before fusing glass and digital kiln controllers were commonly available. His practice continued to include leaded glass, acid etching and restoration.

He has been selling glass in a small way from his studio for a number of years.

Stained Glass Supplies Ltd is located in Glasgow just a few minutes off exit 15 of the M8 in the WASPS building at the corner of Alexandra Parade and Hanson St.  The shop displays the range of glass and equipment stocked.  

Stained Glass Supplies aims to:

• Offer free demonstrations on tools and equipment. 
• Provide free scheduled tutorials on specific techniques.
• Give advice on problems with techniques and processes through a help line. 
• Arrange classes and workshops for novice and experienced glass workers. 
• Sell the main coloured glasses for leaded, painted and stained, and copper foiled glass.  A range of restoration glasses are stocked along with a variety of other machine made glass .  The most popular flashed glasses are stocked and handmade glass is available too.
• Respond to the popular emphasis on kiln forming by selling an extensive range of Bullseye and Spectrum fusing glasses and accessories. 
• Advise on projects with extensive advice and collaboration through a subscription service. 
• Hold seminars and meetings in conjunction with organisations in the industry. 
• Serve the industry by providing installation services. 
• Assist artists to achieve their vision by hiring kilns, cold working facilities and work space. There is a range of equipment available to hire within the studio attached to the shop.  These include table top grinders, gas and electric kilns of various sizes, a lathe, a flat bed grinder, and a linisher. Also available is space to rent on a booked basis.
