I just wanted to write a quick blog post to let you know about some of the recent Craft Scotland developments online.
As regular visitors will have seen, I’ve just finished editing together films I shot over the summer for SOFA Chicago. Jo and I toured the country, meeting not only the Chicago makers in their studio but our New York makers too.
We’ve had a lovely response to the films, and I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has watched and shared them online. I’d also like to say an enormous thank you to the makers for inviting us into their studios to film or photograph them at work: it was a real privilege.
You can see a playlist of all the Chicago films on our YouTube channel, and expect the New York films next year.
Our FourFront makers will be bringing you blog posts over the coming weeks as they prepare for the exhibition, so keep an eye on our news area for their updates. Maker Mhari McMullan will also be our featured maker on Pinterest for November – if you’re not already a friend of Craft Scotland on Pinterest add us to your likes to see her updates.
Yesterday we released details of a new position at Craft Scotland, as we're looking for someone to assist me on a part time basis with our online activity. Find out more about our Online Assistant role.
Jo and I are currently preparing to leave the office for the SOFA Chicago exposition. Although I’m going to be away until mid-November, there will be lots going on the website, so be sure to check our news and What's On area.
