Makers Directory (Find Craft)
One of Craft Scotland’s aims is to promote high-quality contemporary craft practice locally, nationally and internationally. In the coming months, we will be redesigning our Directory to better reflect this aim. We will be making changes to improve the visual aesthetic and functionality of this area.
Our new Directory will be a curated showcase of the finest-quality contemporary craft by professional makers living and working in Scotland today. Makers, it will be your opportunity to present your work in the best light, promote your work to a wide audience and streamline your Craft Scotland opportunity application process.
From Sunday 30 April 2017 we will stop accepting new profiles to the current Directory, to allow us to switch to the new Directory layout. Additionally, when the new version of the Directory launches in May/June 2017, the current Directory will cease to exist and any existing users will have to reapply.
To join the enhanced Craft Directory there will be an application process and an annual fee. To be eligible for the new directory you must be a professional craft maker living and working in the Scotland.

What's on and Opportunities
Whilst we carry out work on the Events and Opportunities sections any events that run after Sunday 30 April 2017 or opportunities with deadlines after Sunday 30 April 2017 will not be accepted from today, whilst we switch over to the new system. If your event happens to run anytime from March and beyond the cut-off date, you can still list your event. If you currently have an event or opportunity on the website that ends after this date, we will endeavour to transfer your information.
Once the updates are live, we encourage you to come back and add your May/June 2017 events and opportunities. We recommend signing up to up to our opportunities email newsletter to be the first to know when these Events and Opportunities changes are live.
In the meantime, if you would still like to promote your events or opportunity, we recommend some other websites that have a very similar audience. You might like to add your event to The List, or upload your opportunity via the Creative Scotland opportunities tool.
