The abstract works of Frances Priest in her chosen medium of clay explore line and form and surface and shape with precision and sensitivity. The surface of Frances’ poetic forms detail subtle mark making, intriguing the viewer into the movement, volume and space within and around the work.

Her work is inspired by her interest in the relationship and the threshold between two and three dimensional space. She uses surface pattern to help describe, define and contrast large scale clay forms. This is the first time the piece has been exhibited in the UK.
