craftscotland Exhibition and Selling Opportunities

craftscotland at Homes & Interiors Scotland 2008

Over the past two years craftscotland has held an exhibition of craft by leading and emerging Scottish makers at the Homes & Interiors Scotland exhibition.

In 2008 the event will take place during the earlier dates of the 29 to 31 August. It will be in a bigger hall than before and there will be a special trade event on the Friday for architects, retailers and interior designers to view the work.

craftscotland will be presenting a group of makers within the craftscotland stand who specialise in interior products.

We are inviting applications for twelve individual 3m x 2m stands. In each space there will be simple white plinths with low small dividing walls, so the area feels different to the rest of the show.  These spaces are being offered at a subsidised rate of £500 each (worth £1,440 each) for the full three days.

To encourage makers who have either recently graduated or have been in business for less than three years, two of these stands can be shared.

The deadline for applications is Friday 18 April 2008.  Full guidelines and the application form can be downloaded below.

craftscotland Limited Edition Collection 2008

craftscotland is launching a limited edition collection of contemporary Scottish craft which will be for sale through the craftscotland website for a period of six months. The collection will be launched at Homes & Interiors Scotland on Friday 29 August 2008.

Applications are invited for proposed limited edition pieces. Each applicant can propose up to five pieces.

The deadline for applications is Friday 18 April 2008.  Full guidelines and the application form can be downloaded below.

craftscotland at Collect 2009: The international art fair for contemporary objects

Collect was launched in 2004 as a new annual event to develop the art market for craft. Over the last five years Collect has built an outstanding reputation as the best fair in Europe presenting contemporary applied arts. The event attracts museum curators and private buyers and has made an impact on many private and public collections.

craftscotland was accepted to exhibit at Collect 2008 and exhibited work by 13 leading and emerging artists.

We are applying to exhibit at Collect 2009 to continue to showcase the best of Scottish craft and are inviting submissions from makers based in Scotland.

The deadline for applications is Friday 18 April 2008.  Full guidelines and the application form can be downloaded below.
