Our featured maker this month is Anna King who is holding a solo exhibition of new baskets in Japan during April and has been selected to take part in Pushing the Boundaries, an exhibition of new work by the Scottish Basketmakers Circle opening in May. She is inspired by text which can be found in some form in her constructed textiles, paper, tapestries and coiled forms. Read more »

Mixed Belongings: Eight Contemporary African Makers an exhibition exploring how eight makers, four based in the UK and four in Africa, forge their own creative paths through their African heritage opens at the Hawick Museum. Read more »

After receiving a fantastic selection of video and film from across the country craftscotland created a lively entry for the Big Picture Film Competition, set up by Tayscreen Scotland. Watch the film.
