On 9 and 10 September 2006 craftscotland held its first offline exhibition at the Homes & Interiors Scotland Exhibition 06 at the SECC in Glasgow.
The exhibition, which showcased world-class work by designer makers living in Scotland, was curated by the craftfocus panel.
Twenty three designer makers from across Scotland took part in the exhibition which included glass by Inge Panneels, Brodie Nairn, Graham Muir, and Alison McConachie, ceramics by Simon Ward, Andrea Walsh, Lorna Fraser and Frances Priest, furniture by Adrian McCurdy, Peter Toaig , Jan Milne and Cecil Tait, painted wood by Fiona Allardyce-Lewis, interior textiles Joanna Kinnersly-Taylor and Mogwaii, wallpaper by Johanna Basford, silver by Eileen Gatt, Grant McCaig, Graham Stewart and Sarah Hutchison, metal by Meg Hamilton and sculptural willow weaving by Lizzie Farey and Caroline Dear.

A programme of talks and demonstrations supported the exhibition. On Saturday silversmith Grant McCaig demonstrated the steps involved in created a piece of silverware while glass designer Inge Panneels and ceramicist Lorna Fraser talked about commissioning craft. Further advice on commissioning was given by furniture designers Peter Toaig and Jan Milne on Sunday, along with demonstrations of hand printing wallpaper by Johanna Basford and creating a cushion by Sarah Campbell of Mogwaii.
