This month we are featuring silversmith Malcolm Appleby who is one of two makers in Precious Statements, the summer exhibition at Goldsmiths' Hall in London. In celebration of his 60th birthday, all aspects of his work will be on show including large, high profile commissions for public institutions and all manner of tableware, medals, seals, chess sets and works of art. The craftscotland website is attracting attention - in recent weeks we have had enquiries from two galleries in England, a gallery and shop in America and from visitors coming to Scotland who wanted to visit specific exhibitions.
