Our featured maker in October is basketmaker Lise Bech who developed a range of organic pod shapes after receiving a Scottish Arts Council Creative Development Award. She will be exhibiting at Origin: the London Craft Fair next week and is one of six finalists in the BBC Homes & Antiques magazine 'Talent Around Britain' competition. Read more »

Last month we held our second craftscotland AGM giving everyone in the crafts community the chance to hear about our achievements last year and plans for next year. If you missed the meeting and want to know more visit our AGM overview.

craftscotland showcases contemporary work by skilled makers from all over Scotland. At the heart of the website is a searchable directory which gives every maker, craft gallery or retailer their own complimentary web page. To search for makers, visit Makers Search. To find craft galleries and retailers in a specific area, use Venue Search.

It is vital that every member of the crafts community can have their say on the work of craftscotland. To help craftscotland develop please give us your feedback, comments and ideas.
