Chance comments, memories and interesting words often act as triggers for the surreal comic characters created by Craig who trained at the University of Sutherland and The Royal College of Art in London.

Each figure is handbuilt from earthenware clay slabs before being decorated with glazes and enamels.  His work explores contemporary culture and universal themes but is also a response to current events both personal and political. 

A touring exhibition of his new work is on at the Gracefield Art Centre in Dumfries from 18 August to 29 September 2007.  He has also been selected to take part in Origin: the London Craft Fair at Somerset House in London during week two from 9 to 14 October 2007.
