Silver and Glass Light Festival Exhibitions
07 August 2006

An exhibition of new jewellery and silversmithing from Scotland shares centre stage with a display of international glass art at the Scottish Gallery during the Edinburgh Festival.

The exhibition, Northern Light, celebrates ten years of North Lands Creative Glass in Lybster and has been curated by Dan Klein, founder and director of the internationally renowned centre for glass.

The show includes work by Mieke Groot, Dante Marioni, Richard Marquis, Bertil Vallien and Paul Stankard, who are former tutors on the North Lands Master Class programme, Jane Bruce, Tessa Clegg and Liz Swinbourne, who are former artistic directors and Brian Glassar, Alison Kinnaird and Keiko Mukaide, who are participants from Scotland.

Find out more about North Lands Creative Glass as founding director Dan Klein discusses its history and creative spirit.
