Laura Appéré, based in Dunshelt, combines vintage printed textiles with life drawing, while in Collessie, textile artist Marianna Lines makes wall hangings with natural dyes inspired by pictish and celtic carved stones.
There are six artists based in studios in the Steeple, the new arts centre in Newburgh, including a ceramicist.
In Cupar Dominique Robertson designs one-off scarves and bags in silk, linen, cotton, fake fur and wool. The stained glass studio of Liz Rowley is open in Gauldry where they restore old windows and create contemporary kiln formed pieces.
A wealth of talent also lies hidden in Newport-in-Tay where you can visit jeweller Dot Sim, ceramicist Susan Basham, Helen Gallogly fashion and interior textile designs and Jane Keith printed textiles. Jane’s silk ties are inspired by the landscape and seascape of the Western Isles and her clients include newsreader Jon Snow, comedian Lenny Henry and actor Matthew Perry.
