About Me

Personal Statement

Caroline's passion for Harris tweed has led to the creation of a range of homewares and decorations, with emphasis on quality and quirky design. Keen to promote and encourage shoppers to buy high quality handmade Scottish goods, she works with a variety of Harris tweed patterns and colours, from bold and bright herringbones to muted tartans. Her balance of traditional and contemporary styles appeals to a broad range of buyers seeking decidedly Scottish gifts or homewares.

Her iconic Harris Tweed Chicken Doorstop paved the way for the other creations such as the Harris Tweed mini chicken and her range of decorations including lavender filled hearts, Scottie dogs and stars. Caroline's tea cosies are lined with vintage floral, sometimes Liberty, fabrics, and she is always looking for inspiration for new designs and ideas.

With a background in archaeology and illustration, Caroline is self-taught in sewing, and has steadily built up her business through craft fairs and approaching retailers. She now supplies Historic Scotland gift shops and House of Bruar, along with many more independent retailers who seek quality, handmade Scottish goods.
