About Holly Wilcox -

Personal Statement

Originally from a coastal village in Fife, Scotland, my work is inspired by the natural sources I grew up with. I am especially interested in the fragile elements that make up nature’s lifecycle such as clusters of tiny buds and frayed and decaying seed pods.

I enjoy capturing these details throughout the seasons in fine line drawings created with pen and ink, and then transforming them into designs for wearable pieces.

The consequential pieces of jewellery are delicate looking and finely detailed, the intricacy achieved by use of built up granulation and press formed structures. I work predominantly in sterling silver, occasionally accenting the details with both precious and semi-precious cut and rough stones.

Many of my pieces are made entirely by hand, using traditional techniques but creating jewellery that is contemporary, elegant and unique.
