About Me

Personal Statement

We at the Islay Quilters are a growing group of women who enjoy sewing and quilting. Primarly charity based and supporter of local charities, our main aim is to expand our skills and encourage others to do likewise. As the group has advanced we enjoy the added fun of teaching our craft, and expanding the gifts of our members which include embroidery, lace-making, and fabric dyeing. Our shop sells fabric suitable for handy-crafts, wadding, calico and many hand-made gifts. We also take commisions on quilts and through our web-site have sold quilts overseas. Our web-site also supports local craftman John Woodrow, local shepherd and 'crook' maker.

Year Established: January 1992
