About Me

Personal Statement

Founder of Vanilla Ink Studios Kate Pickering and Glasgow-based jeweller Katie Lees bring you a fun and relaxed workshop in exciting venues across Scotland, marrying hand-crafted jewellery with good food and drink.

C A R V E aims to draw out your inner creativity with our jewellery know-how and in the two hour workshop you will have made a one of a kind ring, unique to you.

We hold pop-up workshops every month in a different location across Scotland. Join us on one of workshops for a bespoke and professional experience.

C A R V E uses jewellers wax and a selection of tools to allow you to carve into the wax and create a bespoke, one-off ring. The workshop lasts two hours and within that time you will be guided with expert tuition to help you achieve your ideas.

We then take the wax rings and send them to a company in Birmingham who cast the wax into solid silver (using the process of lost wax casting), the silver rings are sent back to C A R V E to be hand-finished in our Glasgow-based workshop and posted out to their rightful owner.
