I design and make a wide variety of crocheted and occasionally, knitted, items, ranging from miniature teddy bears, fairies and dragons, to freeform crocheted art, one-of-a-kind pet blankets, baby toys and wear and childrens' and adult cosy-wear, as well as gift wear and household items. I also sell patterns for some of my designs. I am inspired by nature and mythology in my designs and colours.
Birch Tree Trading is located in a lovely old stone built shop in the conservation village of Cawdor, close to Cawdor Castle.
I sell a range of Scottish Crafts and gifts including ceramics, jewellery, cards and prints, candles, bags and accessories, glass, felt and turned wood.
I have tried to source as much as possible from the local area and Highlands. There are so many craft makers in the region who produce beautiful and high quality work that I am adding to the range all the time.
I also stock beautiful art cards and wrapping paper to make gifts special.
Blair Sorley is an Edinburgh-based business producing leather bags, purses and accessories.
