Colin Adamson's work is influenced by the classical period violin making and he uses this to make copies and new instruments of the distinctive 17th Italian period. All his instruments are hand made using the finest quality wood and traditional woodworking methods.

GalGael build and sail wooden boats in celebration of Scotland's heritage - providing a focal point, around which a whole number of community benefits can unfurl. Engaged in this way, a wide array of pieces have been created, across a broad spectrum of indigenous crafts; from boatbuilding to furniture making, timber framing to blacksmithing, basketweaving to leather carving and granite carving. At times traditional, at others contemporary, they are united by a common theme of integrity of the natural materials used.
