The 3D/2D ethos is simple: to provide the buying public with direct access to exhibitors who are selling only their own work.
A Parallel Universe is an Interior Textile design project by Sarah Stewart, hoping to launch as a business at the beginning of January 2013.
I work in steel and create unique sculptures of animals and abstract pieces. Inspiration is drawn from nature, and a fascination for movement, fluidity, lightness and texture. Humour also plays an important part in the creation process, which hopefully is revealed in my work. For me, metal has still an element of surprise and adaptability is crucial. Scale can vary from small items to life-size artwork.
Combining skills in metalwork with a variety of textile techniques, Alexandra creates contemporary jewellery pieces inspired by structures in nature.
Ali works with textiles & mixed media commercially, for exhibition and to commission. She is a community tutor in the Lothians and runs workshops & classes in design & mixed media techniques from her studio “The Purple Thread Shed” near Edinburgh.

I am a designer, handcrafting mainly accessories such as handbags, hats, scarves and belts; these form the basis of my winter collections. I love natural materials, such as the shells I have incorporated in some of my work. Natural forms, another passion and large influence, I have managed to incorporate mostly through my embroidery.
My style is a mixture between traditional techniques and a stylish and elegant touch added to the functionality of practical accessories.
