Esther creates textiles using organic materials. Influenced by her highland environment she continues to explore the dimension of fragility and strength: presence and erosion.
ENAMEL-WORK GLASS ON METAL
Transparent and opaque enamels (ground glass) are fired in a kiln onto copper and silver to make small and large wall panels, plates and a selection of dishes and jewellery

Isabelle is a Masterbookbinder based at the OWL & LION, her specialty is 18th Century Leather Binding and marbling and printing traditional decorative papers.

Jan Kilpatrick is a well-known teacher of mosaic, embroidered textiles and creative book-making. From her studio in Elphin, 20 minutes drive north of Ullapool, she also produces one-off pieces of mosaic; short runs of hand-printed, embroidered textile goods such as cushions and bags; hand-printed cards; hand-made paper and blank books. Most of her work uses recycled and natural materials and she draws her imagery from the natural environment, increasingly incorporating lyrical text from her own poetry.
Hand crafted quilts and commissions lovingly undertaken with personal service. Everything created in the northeast of Scotland in and around where Jay grew up, each commission is personally undertaken.

Jean Bowker trained in History of Art and took the Year Prize at Basingstoke College for her year. Trained as an aquatint printer, or etcher, she also produces distinctive hand-made paper and paper products, including albums and decorative boxes, which combine with her etchings to produce unique gifts. She makes her paper from natural plants including grasses and rushes.
Jen makes jewellery in silver and gold, inspired by landscapes around Scotland. She enjoys making pieces using a clients favourite landscapes and is most happy in her workshop.
