Combining paintings and glass techniques incorporating natural and urban themes.
We have been producing handmade, hand painted wooden toys on our small croft since 1998. We specialise in toys that reflect everyday life in Shetland past and present including the original Inter-Island Ferry, and a traditional Shetland Box Bed. Other designs include a bi-plane, a tractor and trailer and an automata racing car. Our toys are all great characters causing joyful outbursts wherever they go.
Cut, sewn, and of course designed just for you.
Democraft is an on-line booking system for craft courses. You run the workshops - we do all the administration. One link on your web site is all you need.

I create a range of contemporary products from pressed wool felt including necklaces, bracelets, brooches, bags, purses, notebooks and cushions. Inspiration comes from everywhere, from the environment, pebbles on the beach and even from the fabric itself. My love of clean simple shapes has helped me produce a collection that is strong in shape and pattern in an array of rich colours.
Knitwear/Craft shop based in the South Mainland of Shetland, adjacent to Sumburgh Airport. The knitwear is designed by Doreen Brown and is classed as being amongst the finest in the Islands for its distinctive designs and highest quality. Our classic collection includes a beautiful range of natural, undyed garments some of which are hand spun in beautiful shades from the native Shetland sheep. As our garments are individually knitted we can provide a personal made to measure service where we can adapt styles and colour to our customers requirements.
Emma McDermott’s work is inspired by birds and their habitats. The damage caused by the jewellery industry to their environments, encouraged her to use all recycled or natural materials in her work.

A violin maker and restorer of fine Italian style instruments, since 1991, I studied at Newark School of Violin Making, graduating with Merit, before returning to my native Shetland.
My instruments are being played by musicians throughout Britain. These include two commissions for the Mendelssohn in Mull Trust, which supports up and coming Scottish classical string players and many of the country's finest folk musicians.
