West Moss-side is a venue for traditional and contemporary arts and crafts. Easily acessible from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth in the heart of the carse of stirling farming landscape it offers courses and events led by the very best of Scottish and International tutors. Inspiration and materals come from the natural surroundings of the farm and Flanders Moss National Nature reserve.
The centre has a changing exhibition and gallery of work by tutors for sale or for commissioning.
Most workshops are one day or over a weekend and include: willow and rush basket making, bark weaving, batik, natural papermaking, feltmaking, spoon carving, yurt building, rush and cane seating and many more.

Yvonne hand makes paper from a variety of materials, including, each autumn, a limited quantity of “Stornoway Woods Paper” which incorporates the fallen leaves from the largest wooded area on the Isle of Lewis. Yvonne also hand makes silk paper which she then uses in her cards, bookmarks and collages. Other items available are: handmade wedding invitations to order, decorated boxes, 3D decoupage pictures, art prints.
Using traditional precious materials and hand skills in a process of construction and repetition, Yvonne creates contemporary studio jewellery with a sculptural presence in which elements fuse and develop beyond their original components in an exploration of volume and movement.
I create needle felted sculptures in the form of bears, dogs and other animals. I also make hand crafted felt jewellery. Each item is truly unique and one of a kind due to the process of making them. Each item takes many hours of detailed work to produce the final piece.
