In her studio in the picturesque village of Kincardine Gourlay Jenkins designs and makes her unique jewellery. Each piece of individually hand crafted fused glass beautifully complements the hand-woven Harris Tweed on which it is presented.
Gourlay's creations give new life to this ancient fabric. Jewellery using Harris Tweed has never been done before. Gourlay also creates sports gear such as the “ Mitt Witt” this is a golf trolley mitt for those cold days on the golf course - pretty much essential all year around in Scotland.
My studio was set up in 1999 after 9 years of teaching hot glass at Sunderland University; my main objective was to solely concentrate on my own work as far as possible.
